For the past seven years, the CSU's African American Initiative has partnered with churches across California to conduct the Summer Algebra Institute, a program providing hundreds of sixth through ninth graders additional tools and training to help them achieve or exceed grade-level math proficiency.
For the past seven years, the CSU's African American Initiative has partnered with churches across California to conduct the Summer Algebra Institute, a program providing hundreds of sixth through ninth graders additional tools and training to help them achieve or exceed grade-level math proficiency. For six weeks this summer, 18 churches will immerse over 500 students in intensive math instruction based on CSU curriculum. The Summer Algebra Institute is one of many CSU programs promoting college preparation and success among African American communities throughout California.
